About Joel Clark
Straight talk from someone who's been in your venue.
I started Clark's Clarity because I was tired of H&S consultancy that produced reports nobody could act on — heavy documents written for lawyers, not operators.
Qualifications are the start, not the finish. I work the regulations the way they actually land — on a busy Saturday when the team's stretched and the manager's juggling six things. That's where competence comes from. Not the certificate on the wall, but the ongoing reading, the conversations with operators, the post-incident reviews. The qualifications stay current. The thinking never stops.
Five years in sports, leisure, and holiday park operations across Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. I know how these venues actually run: the operational pressure of peak season, the documentation that quietly goes out of date, and the inspections that arrive when you least expect them.
My job is to make your H&S position clear, defensible, and practical — without making it your full-time job. Plain English. No waffle. Just what you need to know and what you need to do.

The Clark's Clarity difference
Most H&S consultancies bill by the hour and produce documentation by the yard. We work differently.
Every engagement starts with a genuine understanding of how your specific venue operates. The output is always practical, actionable, and written for the people who have to use it — not for the filing cabinet.
We don't oversell. If a one-day Snapshot is genuinely all you need, that's what we'll recommend.
We work with leisure, hospitality, and holiday park operators across England. Based in Lincolnshire — site visits within reach are most efficient; longer engagements work well remotely with periodic on-site time.
More than compliance
Good H&S builds confident teams.
Health and safety isn't just compliance — it's the difference between a team that knows exactly what to do when something goes wrong, and one that hesitates.
Well-designed systems reduce mistakes, support staff retention, and improve the guest experience. The right approach lifts a team's confidence rather than burying it in paperwork. Joel works alongside your managers to build safety into how people actually work — not just documents to show inspectors.
“A confident team is the cheapest safety system you'll ever buy.”
